Hello and welcome to Our Church Without Walls.

Today’s Tip:  The Bee

A father was driving down a country road with his young son one beautiful spring afternoon, when a bumblebee flew in through the car window.  The little boy, who was allergic to bee stings, was petrified.  The father reached out, quickly grabbed the bee, squeezed it in his hand, held it for a minute and then released it.

The boy grew frantic once again as it buzzed by him.  Once again the father reached out his hand, but this time he showed his son the palm of his hand.  There stuck in his skin was the stinger of the bee.  “Do you see this?”  He asked.  “You don’t need to be afraid anymore.  I have taken the sting for you.”

We do not need to be afraid or have any sudden fears, either.  That is, of course, if you belong to God.  For Jesus said in

John 10:28, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.  I and My Father are one.”  For in John 17: 23

Jesus continued as He prayed to His Father, “I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

Jesus took the sting of death for you when He died on the cross for your sins.  Oh that our children would know without a doubt that we as their father would take the sting for them.  But even more so, that they would know that Jesus is indeed in us, and that they too would want Jesus in them, because of our example. And may we live long enough to be blessed with seeing our children and grand-children come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Happy Father’s Day, and may you have a very blessed one.
